THE SILK CARE RITUAL
When dry cleaning isn’t an option, a cool, gentle hand wash is the safest way to care for your robe.
To Wash:
Fill a clean basin or sink with cool water.
Add 2 capfuls (or a soft squeeze) of delicate, silk-safe detergent.
Submerge the robe and swirl gently to distribute the soap — no scrubbing.
Let her soak for up to 30 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with cool water until it runs clear.
Never wring or twist — instead, press out excess water with both hands, gently.
To Dry:
Lay flat on a clean towel in the shade, pressing out remaining moisture as you go.
Keep her out of direct sunlight to protect her natural hue and texture.
Stain Care:
Mix a solution of silk detergent and cool water in equal parts.
Dip a cotton bud in the mixture and lightly dab the stained area.
Be gentle — no harsh rubbing. Silk responds best to softness.
Tip: For best results, always choose detergents marked as silk- or wool-safe, ideally those with the Woolmark symbol.
